So I am honored to bring on powerful Black women who are professionals in the medical field, like this week's Women in Cannabis Wednesday feature! This week's #WCW is Dr. Felecia L. Dawson, founder of Women for Women and the first physician in Georgia to be board certified in holisitc medicine!

May: The Last Session

On Saturday, Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that he officially plans to legalize recreational cannabis. You may know this already, given he basically rode the legalization wave all the way into office. But this time, he's reached an agreement with Illinois lawmakers and yesterday the big measure was introduced. This is what it's laying out for the Land of Lincoln:

#WCW-Mama Ifrica

The Queen has produced such singles such as "Randy" and "Boxers and Stockings" which are a mainstay on local airwaves. Her music shows strong ties to her Rastafarian beliefs as most of her lyrics are laced with these principles. Damned public school system).

In addition to being an entrepreneur, she's a wellness educator, motivator, and business consultant. What I found so unique about Yolanda is her approach to cannabis in the religious community. Additionally, she is an advocate for more people of color to be have equity and decriminalization in medical cannabis.

#TerpeneTuesday-Caring Caryophyllene

Meet caryophyllene, the terpene so serene lol! The scientific name is beta-caryophyllene, so let's call it BCP for time's sake. BCP is an amazing terpene, for one because it doubles as a cannabinoid and two, it's the only terpene found in ALL strains of cannabis. Matter of fact, it's the terpene that drug-sniffing K-9 dogs are trained to sniff out, stay woke!
